Analytics Engineer, Specialist I – Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and upkeep of robust data layers within GCP/BigQuery.

• Convert intricate Pricing and Campaign regulations into clean, efficient, and version-controlled code.

• Implement automated testing, monitor data quality, and produce technical documentation.

• Ensure the reliability of essential metrics while adhering to Brazil’s LGPD data protection regulations.

• Enhance query and pipeline efficiency while managing cloud processing expenses.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and business teams to navigate complex challenges.

• Lead comprehensive discovery and propose architectural solutions.

• Construct semantic layers in Looker.

• Guide team members through code reviews, pairing, and the adoption of best practices.

• Foster a Self-Service BI culture.

• Investigate root causes and oversee requests from requirements through to production validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to autonomously lead discovery with stakeholders, including refinement, documentation, development, validation, and production delivery.

• Strong emphasis on testing, data governance, LGPD compliance, and minimizing recurring incidents.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and proven experience with Google BigQuery.

• Oversight of query and cloud process efficiency and costs.

• Extensive experience in data modeling and the creation of semantic layers.

• Significant experience in developing metric layers and interactive dashboards within Looker.

• Practical experience with Airflow.

• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.

• Knowledge of Python for data applications, Stored Procedures, and GCP is a plus.

• Experience in applying AI to data is an advantage.

• Experience in extracting data through third-party APIs, including authentication, pagination, and incremental loads, is a plus.
