Analytics Engineer – Semi-Senior, Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Build, document, and maintain data transformation models in Google BigQuery using dbt and SQL.

• Process raw data ingested from Fivetran into clean and structured layers under the Medallion model.

• Support a mobile application, dashboards, and predictive models.

• Create modular models, dependencies, integrity tests, and schema documentation in dbt.

• Structure Bronze (Raw), Silver (Curated), and Gold (Marts) layers.

• Design star schemas with fact tables and dimension tables.

• Audit donor evolution and historical allocation changes using SCD Type 2 and dbt snapshots.

• Operate Fivetran connectors and resolve synchronization issues.

• Participate in technical meetings with clients in Canada.

• Work on international projects with multicultural teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Intermediate-Advanced / Fluent English (B2+) is required.

• 2.5 to 4 years of experience in data transformation, analytical SQL, and cloud platforms.

• Proven experience in analytical queries, aggregations, window functions, and table optimization in BigQuery.

• Creation of modular models in dbt, defining dependencies (ref), integrity tests, and schema documentation.

• Proficiency in handling datasets, partitions, clustering, and loading views/tables in Google BigQuery.

• Practical experience in structuring Bronze (Raw), Silver (Curated), and Gold (Marts) layers.

• Design of star schemas, separating fact tables from dimension tables.

• Management of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 2) using dbt snapshots.

• Basic to intermediate Python skills for simple automation or validation scripts.

• Experience operating Fivetran connectors and resolving synchronization failures.

• Proficiency in Git: branches, clean commits, and Pull/Merge Requests in GitLab/GitHub.

• Ability to respond quickly to questions about fields or models.

• Diligence to ensure that transformed data is free of duplicates or discrepancies.

• Clarity in explaining task status and validating technical requirements.

• Availability for technical meetings with clients in Canada.
