This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Create and execute scalable dimensional models and curated data marts utilizing Snowflake and dbt.
• Develop and uphold accurate, governed semantic layer metrics that align with business definitions.
• Craft and enhance complex SQL queries and transformations to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders to define KPIs and convert requirements into reusable data products.
• Validate models through automated testing, data reconciliation, peer reviews, and observability practices.
• Diagnose and resolve data issues in production models, enhancing data quality checks and alerts.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for development, anomaly detection, and documentation, ensuring outputs are correct and contextually relevant.
• Guide junior analytics engineers and participate in design reviews, best practices, and technical planning.
• Take ownership of and enhance data models that support analytics, operational reporting, and strategic decision-making.
• Design and execute comprehensive analytical workflows from source modeling to semantic-layer metrics and downstream analysis.
• Seasoned data practitioner with extensive experience in contemporary analytics tools such as dbt, Hex, Tableau, and Snowflake.
• Advanced skills in SQL, encompassing window functions, CTEs, and performance optimization.
• Experience in designing and implementing data models for BI and operational analytics, including star schemas.
• Practical experience in developing, testing, and documenting models in dbt.
• Capability to translate stakeholder requirements into well-structured, reusable data products.
• Demonstrated ability to validate and troubleshoot data issues using testing frameworks and observability tools.
• Proficient use of AI-assisted tools in analytical and development workflows.
• Comfortable mentoring others and engaging in design reviews and technical standards.
• Skillful in optimizing data models and queries in Snowflake and dbt, including the use of clustering keys.
• Ability to work remotely from any location in Mexico.
• Competitive annual salary ranging from $612,000–$857,000 MXN, determined by experience and impact.
