This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Take ownership of the metrics, reporting, and reconciliation that support financial decisions for OurFamilyWizard, Cozi, FamilyWall, and Custody Navigator.
β’ Incorporate governed finance metrics like ARR, renewal rates, churn, and CAC, all versioned in dbt, documented in Unity Catalog, tested, and integrated into the internal Slack AI agent.
β’ Transition recurring finance reporting to marimo, phase out the underlying Tableau views, and automate scheduled executions.
β’ Reconcile transactions across app stores, payment processors, subscription systems, and the ledger.
β’ Establish automated checks for discrepancies and alerts, escalate discrepancies with supporting evidence, and transform discrepancies into tests; Accounting will manage the resolution.
β’ Project cohort subscriber and revenue forecasts, aggregate renewal and retention data, and provide inputs for CFO forecasts and board reports.
β’ Model LTV by acquisition source to guide paid-spend allocation in collaboration with Growth.
β’ Analyze pricing and promotional impacts prior to launch.
β’ Develop individual churn propensity and uplift models once retention workflows are established.
β’ Deliver models as tested, traceable scored tables in dbt and Unity Catalog instead of notebooks.
β’ Minimum of 3 years in analytics engineering, data science, BI engineering, or advanced analytics.
β’ Experience in statistical modeling applied to business processes, such as forecasting, survival or cohort analysis, or propensity modeling.
β’ Proven ability to measure the impact of price changes or growth experiments.
β’ Demonstrated experience in building and defending subscription metrics to finance stakeholders, including ARR/MRR, renewal rates, churn, LTV/CAC, or cohort revenue.
β’ Proficiency in SQL and real dimensional modeling; designed marts rather than merely querying them.
β’ Regular use of Python and Git.
β’ Practical proficiency in AI, including tools like Claude Code, coding agents, and agent SDKs.
β’ Statistically rigorous with the ability to identify incorrect cohort curves, model leakage, and statistical noise.
β’ Strong understanding of finance, capable of investigating and clarifying discrepancies between systems.
β’ Ownership of metrics from end to end, addressing CFO inquiries through modeling, testing, reporting, and follow-up.
β’ Willingness to take on multiple roles within a small team supporting four brands.
β’ A motivation to work on products that benefit families.
β’ Experience with dbt, Databricks, and Unity Catalog or similar lakehouse technologies is a plus.
β’ Background in reconciling transactional data to a financial system of record is advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with code-first notebook reporting using marimo, Hex, Streamlit, or Quarto is a plus.
