This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of the Operations data model, which includes reconciliation, treasury, payments, lifecycle, and onboarding.
• Transform raw operational events into well-documented and reliable data products in the Data Warehouse (DWH).
• Collaborate with Operations stakeholders to address daily inquiries, fulfill ad hoc requests, and manage recurring reports.
• Serve as the primary data contact for Operations-related matters.
• Encourage self-service solutions for routine and repetitive questions.
• Evaluate end-to-end processes to uncover manual efforts and fragile transitions.
• Identify tools and automation solutions to address operational challenges.
• Establish and uphold metrics for reconciliation accuracy, treasury positions, payment success/failure rates, and onboarding conversion rates.
• Operate within the central metric architecture.
• Engage in data quality and governance initiatives.
• Propose and implement ideas for process and product enhancements to stakeholders.
• Acquire knowledge about the Operations domain and deliver an initial fix or data product.
• Manage metrics for at least one Operations sub-domain from start to finish.
• Contribute to shared discussions on Risk/TRI.
• Proven experience as an analytics engineer or senior analyst on technical projects.
• Familiarity with data modeling on contemporary data platforms like Databricks, Spark, or dbt.
• Strong SQL proficiency for analytical tasks.
• Capability to utilize Python for tasks that SQL may not effectively address.
• Skill in gathering requirements directly from operational stakeholders.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requests into clear, documented metrics.
• Attention to detail in tasks involving regulatory and financial reporting data.
• Competence in reconciling varying stakeholder definitions of the same metric.
• Understanding of operational processes and identification of beneficial tools or automation.
• High degree of autonomy and self-motivation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and tools.
• Preferred background in banking, fintech, treasury, or payments operations.
• Experience engaging with multiple stakeholder groups is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory or financial reporting data requirements is preferred.
• Occasional exposure to BI-layer reporting such as PSM or lifecycle is preferred.
