This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of client-facing data transformations, ensuring they are developed more quickly, effectively, and at scale as customer integrations expand.
• Identify opportunities to utilize AI to enhance, expedite, and document transformation processes.
• Design and refine data integrity tests in collaboration with Engineering and Customer Success teams.
• Work closely with Customer Success to grasp data and reporting requirements.
• Diagnose data issues and create robust transformations from various sources.
• Refactor and enhance essential models and pipelines.
• Establish patterns and conventions for team members to follow.
• Elevate code quality, data integrity, team workflows, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, and relevant stakeholders.
• Mentor colleagues and assist in the hiring and onboarding processes.
• Proven experience managing transformation pipelines for financial or operational data from integration to production-ready models.
• Familiarity with financial data is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with dbt or similar tools.
• Comfort with version control, testing, and deployment processes.
• Ability to analyze data from its source to its end use, making informed technical decisions throughout the pipeline.
• Capacity to promote standards, support best practices, and influence architectural choices.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity independently.
• Strong commitment to code quality and data integrity.
• Experience in constructing reliable, high-performance, and well-documented transformation layers.
• Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Background in elevating teams, coaching peers, and participating in hiring and onboarding.
• Familiarity with or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Python, BigQuery, Airbyte, Fivetran, Merge, Datadog, Git, and CI/CD for dbt.
• Candidates must reside in North or South America.
