This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Take ownership of metrics, reporting, and reconciliation to support financial decisions for four subscription and transaction-based brands.
• Incorporate governed definitions for ARR, renewal rate, churn, and CAC into dbt; document these in Unity Catalog; implement defensible tests; and link them to the internal Slack business-question agent.
• Transition recurring finance reporting into marimo, decommission the existing Tableau views, and automate the scheduled execution process.
• Reconcile transactions across app stores, payment processors, subscription systems, and the general ledger.
• Develop automated discrepancy checks, escalate issues with supporting evidence, and transform discrepancies into tests; ensure escalation occurs while Accounting manages the resolution.
• Predict cohort subscribers and revenue, summarize renewal and retention data, and provide insights for the CFO’s forecasts and board reports.
• Model LTV based on acquisition sources to aid in the allocation of paid spending with the Growth team.
• Analyze pricing and promotional effects prior to launch.
• Create individual churn propensity and uplift models that can be acted upon by a retention program.
• Deliver models as tested, lineage-documented scored tables in dbt and Unity Catalog, rather than using notebooks.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, BI engineering, or advanced analytics.
• Proven experience in statistical modeling integrated into a business process, including forecasting, survival or cohort analysis, or propensity modeling.
• Capability to evaluate lift from a price change or growth experiment and accurately interpret the results.
• Experience in constructing and advocating for subscription metrics to finance stakeholders, including ARR/MRR, renewal rates, churn, LTV/CAC, or cohort revenue.
• Proficiency in SQL and real dimensional modeling; experience in designing data marts.
• Daily use of Python and Git as part of the workflow.
• A statistically rigorous understanding of cohort curves, model leakage, and statistical noise.
• Fluency in finance with the ability to clearly articulate financial metrics.
• Experience managing analytics projects from conception to completion, including model development, testing, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Practical experience with Claude Code, coding agents, and agent SDKs.
• Openness to work across analytics, financial reconciliation, and dashboard support.
• Preferred experience with dbt, Databricks, Unity Catalog, or similar lakehouse technologies.
• Preferred experience in reconciling transactional data with a financial system of record.
• Preferred skills in code-first notebook reporting using marimo, Hex, Streamlit, or Quarto.
• No explicit benefits or perks stated in the posting.
