Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the architecture and development of enterprise-level Data Products, connecting SAP's business semantic layer with the Databricks Lakehouse.

• Transform and model intricate SAP source data, including Finance and Sales data, within Databricks utilizing PySpark and SQL.

• Create governed, high-performance, business-focused data marts.

• Design and manage strategic dashboards and analytical layers in Tableau or QlikSense, powered by curated data from Databricks.

• Provide guidance to key departments on utilizing SAP data to establish KPIs, perform advanced analyses, and create data-driven decision-making frameworks.

• Ensure standardization, governance, and version control through dbt and Git, integrating solutions with existing data workflows.

• Advocate for analytical automation and data democratization via self-service tools and internal training initiatives.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and Technology teams to link data to digital products, processes, and business strategies.

• Mentor analytics professionals in technical growth, methodological consistency, and effective data storytelling.

• Represent Analytics Engineering in committees focused on data governance, quality, and architecture.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with SQL and PySpark for transforming, modeling, and processing large-scale, complex datasets, especially from SAP systems.

• Familiarity with SAP data structures and essential business processes (e.g., Finance (FI/CO)).

• Demonstrated ability to design and construct analytical views and reusable data assets that align with business logic and performance criteria.

• Expertise in visualization tools, preferably Tableau or similar platforms (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI, Looker).

• Practical experience with Databricks, including the development of business-oriented data marts and analytical models.

• Knowledge of dbt, Git, and collaborative documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Notion, Markdown-based wikis).

• Capacity to translate business requirements into governed, maintainable, and scalable analytical solutions.

• Design comprehensive analytical solutions that are interoperable and scalable across various products or teams.
