Analyst/Senior Analyst, Business Operations & Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various business units at Yelp to leverage analytically driven insights for informed strategic decisions.

• Deliver hands-on analytical support utilizing Excel and tools such as SQL, Salesforce, Python, Google Analytics, and Tableau.

• Identify practical insights and propose recommendations for business enhancements.

• Impact Yelp’s business trajectory by effectively communicating findings to cross-functional teams.

• Develop Tableau dashboards that illustrate KPIs, marketing effectiveness, and key business trends and drivers.

• Assist in operational modifications aimed at fostering sustainable growth in user contributions, traffic, and revenue.

• Work alongside the Sales team on incentive compensation systems and the testing of products and pricing strategies.

• Team up with Marketing to devise customer acquisition strategies.

• Collaborate with Community Management to motivate user contributions on Yelp.

• Engage with Product Teams to shape product priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Over 2 years of relevant experience in business, focused on resolving analytical challenges through quantitative methods.

• Familiarity with diverse business models and operational functions.

• Outstanding Excel modeling capabilities.

• Experience with SQL is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to navigate between detailed data analysis and overarching insights.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in collaborating effectively across teams.

• Skilled at engaging with both executive management and front-line staff efficiently.
