This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather operational requirements, user stories, and accounting logic.
• Convert business challenges into functional designs and configurations within Workday.
• Set up, test, and manage business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and custom notifications in Workday Financials.
• Develop, validate, and execute Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for large-scale accounting adjustments, customer invoices, asset additions, and routine data maintenance.
• Assess new financial features and lead the release preparation for Workday R1 and R2 biannual updates.
• Create scenario-based test scripts and perform regression testing.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve functional production tickets related to financial modules.
• Determine root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Assist with month-end close operations.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in functional configuration and administration of Workday Financials.
• Proven experience in configuring and supporting Workday Core Financials / GL, custom Worktags, and Business Process (BP) framework architecture.
• Practical configuration experience across various Finance modules, including Accounts Receivable, Banking & Settlement, Procurement, Expenses, or Asset Management.
• Proficient in creating, validating, and executing inbound/outbound EIBs.
• Strong emphasis on financial data accuracy discipline.
• Experience using calculated fields to support accounting logic and conditional BP routing.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial period closures, and standard business-to-financial transaction workflows.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in an agile team or squad environment.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with Finance business partners.
