Analista Desarrollador, Cobol

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve production incidents while proposing definitive solutions.

• Execute corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance.

• Develop enhancements and new application functionalities.

• Manage and monitor batch processes using Control-M.

• Conduct technical analysis of business requirements.

• Participate in production rollouts and provide post-implementation support.

• Document technical solutions and operational procedures.

• Coordinate activities with business areas, support teams, and operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional with a degree in Computer Engineering, Execution Engineering in Computing, Programmer Analyst, or a related field.

• At least 4 years of experience in software development and maintenance for banking entities, financial services, and high-availability production environments.

• Experience with both Mainframe and distributed platforms.

• Involvement in technology integration projects.

• Knowledge of Cobol, Microfocus Cobol, JCL, CICS, and Control-M.

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata Database, advanced SQL, development, and optimization of SQL queries and Stored Procedures.

• Understanding of Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, and system commands/utilities.

• Desirable knowledge of Payment, Transfer, and Collection systems.

• Desirable familiarity with Gravity/ESCWA.

• Desirable experience with Jira and ServiceNow.

• Desirable experience in application monitoring and observability.

• Desirable knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Availability to participate in shifts, on-call duties, and activities outside of regular working hours.

• Ability to work in production environments and critical applications, minimizing operational risks and ensuring service availability.
