This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Create, direct, implement, and sustain a business strategy aimed at achieving sales and growth objectives for alternative investments.
• Act as a representative for Lincoln Financial’s alternatives platform and specific solutions to wealth management firms, advisors, and clients.
• Offer expertise in alternatives and support fund roadshows and field engagement initiatives.
• Collaborate with investment, product, distribution, marketing, and field sales teams to advance alternative investment strategies.
• Design and justify alternative investment marketing materials and branding efforts.
• Monitor industry trends, the competitive environment, and investor preferences to assist in product development and positioning.
• Formulate and maintain intricate sales plans to enhance revenue and market share.
• Strengthen relationships and increase market penetration within the assigned territory in collaboration with the field wholesale team.
• Foster and sustain client relationships with firms within the designated territory.
• Boost advisor awareness and adoption of Lincoln’s alternative investment products and services.
• Present Lincoln’s private funds management and additional resources to targeted advisors.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of targeted firms, advisors, market segments, operations, and value propositions.
• Engage in cross-selling and expanding new and existing financial advisor connections.
• Conduct meetings with firms and advisors, including due diligence discussions, one-on-one sessions, sponsorships, and speaking engagements.
• Identify and report potential conflicts regarding Lincoln’s alternative investments.
• Comply with LFD’s Culture of Compliance as well as its policies and procedures.
• 3-5+ years of experience in alternatives distribution that aligns with the responsibilities of this position.
• Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 63 Licenses.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to adapt swiftly in a dynamic work environment.
• MBA/CFA/CAIA designation is preferred.
• FINRA Series 24 designation is preferred.
• Adherence to LFD’s policies and procedures is mandatory.
• Subject to Lincoln’s Political Contribution Policy and potential disclosure requirements.
