Aircraft Maintenance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage all facets of maintenance control operations for Thrive Aviation’s fleet.

• Ensure that Maintenance Control functions within the framework of company policies, work regulations, and industry standards.

• Monitor compliance with aircraft maintenance regulations.

• Provide coaching, counseling, and guidance to Maintenance Controllers.

• Ensure that all necessary documentation is provided and filed for component overhauls, aircraft communication/navigation equipment certifications, and related components.

• Guarantee proper execution of Airworthiness Releases.

• Authorize the completion of work on relevant work forms and records.

• Manage the processing of regulatory paperwork.

• Develop and maintain budgets for maintenance operations.

• Delegate tasks and manage projects effectively.

• Communicate maintenance updates and address concerns with both staff and management.

• Make critical decisions to uphold fleet safety and airworthiness.

• Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Keep the Assistant Director of Maintenance informed on aircraft status.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Some travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current A&P License is mandatory.

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management or a related field; OR 7-10 years of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection experience with a Part 135 operator.

• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

• Expert-level knowledge of FAA regulations relevant to aircraft maintenance.

• Strong leadership skills combined with extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance and regulatory standards.

• Advanced skills and expertise in aircraft parts management.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software products.

• Familiarity with industry-specific software tools, including Flexx, Traxxall, CAMP, and Corridor, is highly desirable.

• Working knowledge of OSHA and company regulations.

• Understanding of safe working techniques and procedures.

• Ability to plan and schedule maintenance tasks and lead skilled technicians.

• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the capacity to supervise a team effectively.

• Comprehensive knowledge of flight line operations, aircraft/vehicle movement, and safety/hazards.

• Advanced understanding of common and specialized aircraft tools and test equipment, technical orders/job guides/publications, schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications, as well as aircraft engine, landing gear, and flight control systems.

• Ability to fulfill stated physical requirements, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and climbing stairs.
