This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and assess comprehensive air traffic and technical training programs that support the modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS).
• Convert FAA operational procedures, system requirements, and technical details into understandable training materials.
• Create or update instructor-led training, virtual learning modules, simulations, practical exercises, job aids, and performance-based assessments.
• Provide classroom, virtual, and hands-on training to both operational and technical staff.
• Collaborate with FAA Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, system integrators, instructors, and program teams.
• Manage training materials, curricula, schedules, qualification records, and all necessary documentation.
• Offer subject matter expertise regarding FAA air traffic operations, procedures, and NAS environments.
• Recognize training risks, gaps, and readiness issues, and formulate strategies for mitigation.
• Keep precise training records and foster continuous improvements in the program.
• Willingness to travel to CONUS and potentially OCONUS deployment sites.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• One of the following combinations of education and experience: a bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience; a master’s degree with 10 years of experience; an associate degree with 14 years of experience; or a high school diploma with 16 years of experience.
• Proven experience in air traffic training, instructional design, technical training, training development, and/or training program execution.
• Strong familiarity with FAA air traffic control operations, procedures, and terminology.
• Experience in creating training materials, lesson plans, presentations, exercises, simulations, job aids, and/or performance assessments.
• Background in delivering instructor-led, virtual, and/or hands-on training.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% to support program needs.
• Must reside within the contiguous United States.
• Remote work is allowed.
