AI/ML Technical Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a multidisciplinary AI/ML technical team, which includes AI engineers and data engineers.

• Oversee hiring, onboarding, career advancement, technical skill enhancement, performance coaching, and daily people leadership within a global delivery environment.

• Architect, design, and direct the development of AI/ML solutions, from problem framing and feasibility assessment to proof of concept, pilot, production deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Utilize traditional machine learning and contemporary AI techniques to address complex, ambiguous, and innovative business challenges.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, platform teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise architecture to define scope, technical approach, success metrics, deployment requirements, integration needs, and adoption strategies.

• Construct scalable, reliable, and maintainable AI systems with rigorous model evaluation standards.

• Ensure that AI solutions comply with documentation, governance, privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

• Articulate technical strategy, trade-offs, risks, milestones, and business outcomes to senior and executive stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field AND 10 years of relevant job experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in AI/ML roles, demonstrating a track record of delivering production AI solutions.

• At least 3 years of experience in managing and developing technical teams.

• Professional proficiency in English is required.

• Strong foundation in traditional AI and machine learning methodologies, including deep learning, decision trees, random forests, optimization techniques, and statistical modeling.

• Practical experience with large language models (LLMs), transformer architectures, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, Agentic AI, and autonomous or semi-autonomous AI architectures.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for visa status.

• An advanced degree in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field is considered an additional qualification.

• Experience in launching multiple AI products/programs, particularly in global or regulated industries, is an additional qualification.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary AI research and development teams is an additional qualification.

• Familiarity with cloud-native AI/ML platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is an additional qualification.

• Proven capability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse technical teams is an additional qualification.
