AI Software Engineer II – Credit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +27 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven features within the SaaS platform.

• Integrate large language models (LLMs) and cloud AI services into production applications.

• Create scalable backend services, REST APIs, and application integrations.

• Build and maintain data pipelines that support AI workflows.

• Contribute throughout the application stack, including both backend services and frontend improvements.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Software Engineers to develop customer-focused solutions.

• Rapidly prototype AI functionalities and refine them based on customer feedback.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in accordance with software engineering best practices.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Deliver production-ready AI features and support the acceleration of AI adoption across the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Experience in developing applications using Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, or similar object-oriented programming languages.

• Familiarity with consuming or integrating LLMs and AI services via APIs.

• Experience in building RESTful APIs and backend application services.

• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.

• Proficiency with Git and contemporary software development practices.

• Understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases along with data modeling.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent skills in collaboration and communication.

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is preferred.

• Familiarity with vector databases and embeddings is preferred.

• Knowledge of LangChain or LlamaIndex is preferred.

• Experience in building data pipelines and AI workflows is preferred.

• Experience in deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.

• Experience in developing customer-facing SaaS applications is preferred.

• Must reside in one of the specified US states; NCC exclusively hires within the US.

• Must provide a description of an AI/ML system personally developed in the fintech or automotive sector, specifying the company.

• Native English proficiency will be assessed during the preliminary video screening.
