AI Software Engineer – Identity Recovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish and enhance AI-first software development methodologies for a cloud-native SaaS solution on Microsoft Azure.

• Aid in the integration of AI-first software development methodologies within the project team.

• Leverage AI coding agents and AI-assisted development tools in solution design, implementation, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent instructions, development workflows, validation processes, and guidelines for responsible AI-assisted software development.

• Design, construct, test, and sustain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS features.

• Develop commercial products utilizing Microsoft technologies such as Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint.

• Participate in architecture, technical decision-making, code reviews, CI/CD, release readiness, and the ownership of essential product components.

• Operate within an Agile SCRUM framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field.

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficient hands-on experience with C# and .NET.

• Professional background in utilizing AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a significant part of actual software development tasks.

• Advanced practical knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-driven development platforms.

• Capability to employ AI coding tools to enhance software design, implementation efficiency, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code review, or technical documentation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, AKS, ACA, and Event Hubs.

• Experience in creating Azure cloud applications utilizing event-driven, service-oriented, or microservice architectures.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB and relational databases such as SQL or Azure Data Explorer.

• Proficient in writing quality code through unit testing, mocking, automation, integration testing, and code coverage.

• Strong grasp of object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, secure development, automated testing, continuous integration, debugging, and maintainable software architecture.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven technical leadership and effective collaboration within an Agile team environment.

• Experience in developing and maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar systems (desirable).

• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security (desirable).

• Frontend development experience using Angular, React, or TypeScript (desirable).

• Proficiency in PowerShell, ARM Templates, or Terraform (desirable).

• Proficiency in Python (desirable).

• Experience with claims-based authentication methods, including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, JWT, MFA, and RBAC (desirable).

• Knowledge of secure web development practices, including OWASP and SANS Top 25 (desirable).
