AI Software Engineer – Audit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the adoption of AI-driven software development methods within the project team.

• Integrate AI coding agents and AI-enhanced development tools into daily product engineering tasks.

• Utilize AI resources for solution design, implementation, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, code refactoring, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent instructions, development workflows, validation processes, and guidelines for responsible AI-assisted development.

• Design, develop, test, and sustain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS features.

• Work with C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Event Hubs.

• Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making.

• Engage in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and ensure release readiness.

• Take ownership of critical product components within an Agile SCRUM framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent hands-on experience.

• At least five years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficient hands-on experience with C# and .NET.

• Demonstrated professional use of AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a significant aspect of real software development.

• Advanced practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-powered development platforms.

• Capability to leverage AI coding tools to enhance software design, implementation efficiency, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code reviews, or technical documentation.

• Experience in developing Azure cloud applications utilizing event-driven, service-based, or microservice architectures.

• Background in constructing scalable backend services and distributed systems.

• Strong grasp of object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, secure development, automated testing, continuous integration, debugging, and maintainable software architecture.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Technical leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile team setting.

• Experience in developing and maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security.

• Experience with Angular or React and TypeScript.
