AI Software Engineer – Assessments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the adoption of AI-driven software development methodologies throughout the project team.

• Leverage AI coding agents and AI-enhanced development platforms in everyday product engineering tasks.

• Utilize AI support for solution architecture, implementation, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code evaluations, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent directives, development workflows, validation protocols, and safety measures.

• Design, develop, test, and sustain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS functionalities.

• Collaborate with C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, AKS, ACA, and Event Hubs.

• Participate in architectural and technical decision-making processes.

• Engage in code reviews, CI/CD practices, and prepare for release readiness.

• Take ownership of essential product components within an Agile SCRUM framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent hands-on experience.

• A minimum of five years of professional software development experience.

• Proficient practical experience with C# and .NET technologies.

• Professional background in using AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a significant component of actual software development.

• Advanced practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-driven development platforms.

• Capability to employ AI coding tools to enhance software design, productivity in implementation, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code review, or technical documentation.

• Experience in developing Azure cloud applications utilizing event-driven, service-oriented, or microservice architectures.

• Experience in building scalable backend services and distributed systems.

• Robust understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, secure development practices, automated testing, continuous integration, debugging, and maintainable software architecture.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Demonstrated technical leadership and capability to work collaboratively in an Agile team setting.

• Experience in developing and managing YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or comparable systems.

• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security.

• Experience with Angular or React and TypeScript.
