
AI Platform Engineer β Enablement and Governance Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
β’ Design and develop the technical framework of Kraken's internal AI platform, encompassing everything from integration surface to production runbook.
β’ Identify gaps in capabilities and address them by assessing vendors or creating solutions in-house.
β’ Manage the governed integration gateway, which includes connector onboarding, authentication processes, reliability, and vendor escalation.
β’ Create internal tools such as agent scaffolding, reusable skills and prompt assets, evaluation harnesses, provisioning automation, and integrations with the system of record.
β’ Set up and manage tiered spending controls, which involve caps, alerting, exception queues, monthly reconciliations, and mitigation of single-author risk.
β’ Establish technical controls for data management, retention policies, model eligibility, identity integration, SSO, SCIM, role/tier entitlements, and workspace configuration.
β’ Collaborate directly with teams to comprehend workflows and develop or configure enabling solutions.
β’ Facilitate technical empowerment through tool roll-out deep dives, model-release office hours, and ownership of the knowledge base.
β’ Oversee the enterprise AI environment from end to end, covering model turn-ups, feature enablement, deprecation, provisioning, vendor configurations, and seat true-ups.
β’ Experience with enterprise SaaS administration for 1,000+ seats, preferably including an AI or LLM platform.
β’ Proven track record of building and delivering functional software; proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
β’ Knowledge of version control, CI, containers, and secrets management.
β’ Experience with integrations involving LLM and SaaS APIs.
β’ Familiarity with agent and tool usage patterns, including MCP or similar tool calling architectures.
β’ Proficient understanding of Okta or a comparable Identity Provider (IdP), OAuth, SCIM, SSO, and federated machine identity.
β’ Strong operational discipline regarding intake queues, SLAs, runbooks, escalation protocols, and documentation practices.
β’ Capability to articulate technical functionalities to compliance officers, traders, and backend engineers.
β’ Excellent written communication skills for creating technical documentation, runbooks, and policy pages.
β’ Sound judgment regarding what to develop versus features that may be superfluous.
β’ Preferred qualifications: experience in internal development or AI platforms, FinOps or software asset management, low-code or workflow automation, Atlassian administration, and experience with audit/evidence work in regulated industries.
