📋 Description

• Develop essential infrastructure for feature engineering, model training, and model deployment throughout Coinbase.

• Take ownership of the design and reliability of machine learning inference infrastructure for predictive models and large language models (LLMs).

• Ensure high availability and low latency at scale.

• Construct and enhance low-latency streaming pipelines that deliver up-to-date, high-quality feature data to production machine learning models.

• Enhance distributed training infrastructure to efficiently process large volumes of data.

• Create observability tools to monitor data quality and identify degradations that impact model performance.

• Mentor junior engineers and elevate the engineering standards of the team.

• Assist in fraud detection, user personalization, and blockchain analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer.

• Proven ownership of distributed systems in production settings.

• Experience in building and managing low-latency data or machine learning infrastructure, including streaming pipelines, online serving systems, or distributed training at scale.

• History of mentoring engineers and enhancing engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, and technical leadership.

• Understanding of machine learning platform components, such as feature stores, model serving frameworks, and training orchestration.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
