This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with DISA's Operations, Commercial, Characterization, Lab, and Permitting teams to gain insights into workflows, data flows, and operational challenges.
• Establish and document standardized workflows for resource identification, site/land tracking, characterization, lab operations, and back-office functions.
• Configure, customize, and manage company platforms to develop cohesive workflows from site identification to resource reporting.
• Create and sustain ArcGIS dashboards and automated spatial workflows for site identification, prioritization, and resource monitoring.
• Design and develop lightweight AI-driven tools and automation solutions utilizing scripts, Power Automate flows, custom applications, or similar technologies.
• Convert manual or ad hoc processes into systematic, repeatable, and trackable systems in collaboration with the Commercial and Characterization teams.
• Discover opportunities to implement AI and automation to minimize manual efforts in resource tracking, administration, and reporting.
• Develop internal tools, templates, and dashboards using AI agents, coding, and scripting techniques.
• Provide training and support to staff on new tools and workflows.
• Ensure business data is preserved in a tidy, centralized repository.
• Document workflows, tools, and system configurations to ensure continuity and scalability.
• Assess and test new AI, GIS, and business-system technologies.
• Deliver leadership updates regarding tool development, adoption, and operational impact.
• Adhere to DISA policies and procedures.
• Assist with duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
• Reports to the General Manager, DISA Uranium, unless otherwise designated.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, GIS, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience applying AI tools (such as large language models, process automation, or similar) to practical business workflows is necessary.
• Basic coding or scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL, Power Automate/Power Apps) are required.
• Familiarity with business systems (like Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP/CRM platforms), GIS platforms, and/or resource modeling software is preferred.
• Previous experience in a startup, consulting group, or resource company is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), ArcGIS, and a working knowledge of Vulcan (Maptek) or similar mine planning/geological modeling software is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of applied AI and automation tools and their integration into daily business workflows is essential.
• Strong skills in process mapping and workflow design.
• Capacity to collaborate across technical, commercial, and administrative teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a startup environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Capability to adjust to dynamic environments and flexibly identify solutions.
• High attention to detail, dependability, accountability, and precision.
• Ability to comply with safety protocols and maintain adherence to OSHA/MSHA and company safety standards.
• Must be a valid U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks, including typing.
