AI Finance Transformation Manager – Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain AI/Automation use cases throughout the Accounting Organization, focusing on volumes, cycle times, touch counts, exception rates, and existing controls.

• Transform use cases into a prioritized pipeline with a justifiable value proposition utilizing the Sophos AI ROI Success Metrics framework.

• Revamp current processes and control specifications in collaboration with business SMEs.

• Create exception paths, detailing review ownership and evidence requirements.

• Guide control designs through evaluations with the Controller and Internal Audit.

• Make decisions regarding production go/no-go status.

• Conduct user acceptance testing alongside business SMEs.

• Manage the hypercare phase following go-live.

• Provide monthly value reports to the CFO Council and Senior Management Leadership reporting cadence.

• Discover high-value AI opportunities and deliver quantifiable business impact across Accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years’ experience within an accounting function (AR, AP, Credit, Revenue, General Accounting, or similar).

• At least two years of experience in developing AI Automation using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Power BI).

• Proven track record of delivering automations into production in a regulated environment.

• Capability to articulate control design and exception handling processes.

• Experience collaborating with internal or external auditors on process or control modifications.

• Ability to demonstrate how process or control changes were substantiated.

• Proficient in breaking down processes into steps, decisions, and exceptions with sufficient clarity for implementation by a builder.

• Skilled at working across different functions without formal authority.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP, Zuora, or similar ERP and billing systems.

• Preferred: Knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606, or experience in month-end close responsibilities.

• Legal authorization to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship.
