This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Lead a diverse engineering team of about 10–15 individuals specializing in AI technologies.
• Foster team growth, independence, and efficient collaboration.
• Take ownership of the AI Engineering strategy.
• Contribute to products driven by machine learning and AI-native technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to outline requirements, set priorities, develop delivery plans, features, and product improvements.
• Establish standards and procedures for the development of AI-native products, including CI/CD with evaluations, test sets, and search subsystems.
• Select and implement both open-source and commercial tools, such as MCP Servers, A2A communication, CI/CD pipelines, workflows, and agent definitions.
• Direct AI-native workflows that involve streaming, long-running tasks, and procedural user experiences.
• Enhance system architecture, application design, and engineering methodologies.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and the professional growth of team members.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners on partnerships, service agreements, and external innovations.
• Oversee budget responsibilities and influence relationships with vendors and technology partners.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in an engineering role post-BS or post-MS.
• Proven experience in leading high-performing Agile development teams.
• Strong grasp of Agile principles and methodologies.
• Practical experience in contributing to strategic projects and tackling complex challenges.
• Demonstrated history of delivering scalable, impactful products powered by machine learning.
• Experience in building backend platforms capable of supporting multiple product lines.
• Strong technical judgment along with a commitment to results, quality, and team development.
• Proficient in stakeholder communication, influence, negotiation, and translating business goals into technical decisions.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of decisions.
• Creative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in both Polish and English.
• A university degree in computer science, mathematics, econometrics, statistics, or a related field.
