This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +2 more countries.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on data security and governance for AI initiatives throughout client engagements.
• Evaluate and provide guidance on data security risks associated with AI systems, encompassing data exposure, access control, model/data lineage, third-party and cloud data management, and secure data architecture.
• Assist clients in establishing governance frameworks.
• Determine how and where data should be processed within various aspects of client architectures.
• Support clients continuously as the implementation advances.
• Bring a data engineering viewpoint to governance efforts, grounded in data warehousing and data platform expertise.
• Simplify technical AI-related risks into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Participate in sales discussions and foster client trust prior to contract agreements.
• Aid in transforming client relationships into formal engagements.
• Develop and maintain visible, ongoing trust with clients while providing reliable guidance.
• Proven experience in consulting and independently leading engagements, while aligning with the strategic direction set by the account team.
• A background in data engineering, with practical experience in leading data warehousing projects.
• Profound knowledge of data security practices as they pertain to AI systems, including access management, data classification, secure architecture, cloud data security, and risk evaluation.
• Ability to confidently pitch ideas and close deals as part of a broader account team.
• Outstanding communication skills in English for candidates located in Portugal.
• Excellent communication abilities in both English and German for candidates based in Germany or Austria.
• Some familiarity with legal and compliance work (preferred).
• Experience across various industries or regulatory environments within the DACH or EU markets (preferred).
• A well-established network or reputation in the AI governance/security domain (preferred).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, whether as an engineer or architect (preferred).
• Be consistently sought after and organically drawn into new discussions by account teams or clients.
• Shape conversations with clients and team members into new business opportunities across multiple client accounts.
• Contribute significantly to securing 1–2 new client engagements within the first 6 months.
