This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with NVIDIA, network equipment vendors, ISPs, and colocation partners to convert business requirements and cloud platform architecture into comprehensive network designs.

• Strategize and execute foundational resources such as IP addressing, VLAN/VXLAN, and bandwidth, while formulating a roadmap for network evolution.

• Spearhead the end-to-end AI data center network architecture for GPU cluster interconnects, Spine-Leaf/Clos topologies, front-end business networks, and out-of-band management networks.

• Partner with the cloud platform engineering team on underlay network architecture and overlay network integration utilizing SDN controllers, VxLAN, and EVPN.

• Oversee congestion-control tuning and standards for hyperscale cluster networks, which include PFC, ECN, and INT.

• Generate HLD/LLD architecture documentation, network topology diagrams, configuration standards, and SOPs.

• Assess risks in current network architectures, create improvement roadmaps, and lead execution to completion.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in network architecture design and planning at a hyperscale internet company, leading cloud provider, or multinational backbone operator.

• Profound understanding of network requirements for AI compute clusters.

• Expert-level skills in InfiniBand (IB) and RoCEv2 architecture design.

• Knowledge of high-performance topologies, including Rail-Optimized architectures.

• Hands-on experience in planning and deploying cluster networks ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 GPUs is highly advantageous.

• Strong proficiency in BGP, OSPF, ECMP, VxLAN, and EVPN.

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS / SRv6).

• Familiarity with optical transport networks and DWDM technology.

• Understanding of global backbone peering/transit strategies.

• Outstanding communication skills across functions and cultures.

• Ability to align diverse stakeholders on large-scale, intricate projects.

• Strong resilience in high-pressure environments and a technology-forward approach.
