AI and Automation Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to pinpoint automation opportunities, clarify requirements, and establish scope and acceptance criteria.

• Develop and oversee AI agents and workflows utilizing Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Tines, and any necessary supporting code.

• Integrate applications like Microsoft Teams and Salesforce via APIs, webhooks, and platform connectors, ensuring secure authentication and data access.

• Leverage generative AI, prompt design, and data retrieval for business tasks; assess output quality and rectify any inaccuracies or incompleteness.

• Utilize Elastic, including Elasticsearch and Kibana, to facilitate search, data retrieval, and log and operational data analysis as needed.

• Conduct testing with representative data, exceptions, and edge cases; resolve defects and complete peer reviews and business validations prior to release.

• Implement solutions with appropriate logging, error handling, and human approval steps; monitor operations and troubleshoot issues post-launch.

• Create documentation for workflows, integrations, configurations, and design decisions to enable team members to maintain or extend solutions.

• Estimate effort, keep stakeholders updated, escalate blockers or risks before they impact commitments, and track time saved or other agreed-upon business outcomes.

• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to enhance reusable components, review modifications, and evaluate tools to improve delivery.

• Deliver automations that satisfy agreed requirements, maintain reliability post-deployment, and reduce manual effort or enhance work quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in software development, automation, systems integration, or a closely related technical field.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Hands-on experience in delivering a functioning automation or application through testing and deployment, with accountability for troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Proficiency with at least one automation or AI platform, such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Tines, or a similar tool.

• Working knowledge of a programming or scripting language like Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript, along with experience using REST APIs and JSON.

• Practical understanding of large language models, prompt design, and the necessity of validating AI-generated outputs before their application in business processes.

• Familiarity with Git, basic testing methods, and secure management of credentials and business data.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage assigned tasks as requirements and priorities evolve.

• Preferred experience: Experience in building Tines workflows or working with Elastic, including Elasticsearch queries, indexes, or Kibana dashboards.

• Preferred experience: Familiarity with Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power BI, or integrations involving Microsoft Teams and Salesforce.

• Preferred experience: Effective use of coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, with independent review and testing of generated code.

• Preferred experience: Experience in measuring automation outcomes, such as reduced handling time, fewer manual steps, improved accuracy, or decreased support effort.
