Agile Product Owner II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Formulate strategic plans in collaboration with essential business and IT partners for technologies that affect the organization.

• Provide methodologies, process policies, practices, guidance, and tools to the organization.

• Organize, lead, and manage projects within defined timeframes and budget constraints.

• Take ownership of and prioritize the product backlog and user stories.

• Develop business user stories and break down features into non-technical user stories.

• Collaborate with the Scrum Master to facilitate the Scrum Framework.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of customer and product requirements.

• Act as the voice of the business for the team.

• Represent capabilities and features at the team level alongside project managers.

• Ensure traceability from requirements to features to user stories.

• Evaluate test cases against user story acceptance criteria.

• Reassess the product backlog based on customer feedback, market dynamics, and business priorities.

• Engage in backlog grooming, retrospectives, defect management, and release planning.

• Support the team during sprint planning and Daily Scrum, providing answers to inquiries.

• Own and deliver acceptance criteria for user stories that create business value.

• Create and present presentations.

• Lead, instruct, guide, and review the work of fellow team members.

• Contribute to team member performance evaluations.

• Formally accept user stories upon meeting acceptance criteria.

• Assist with project support and resource allocation planning.

• Facilitate or develop procedures and processes that support advancing technologies or capabilities.

• Assess project information and predict required work effort.

• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.

• Provide peer-level reviews and mentoring.

• Participate in corporate quality and data governance initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or insurance focusing on Business Analysis and/or computer technology, including EDI.

• At least 2 years of experience communicating with diverse groups both within and outside the business.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in breaking down high-level initiative information and forecasting work effort.

• High School Diploma or GED in a relevant field of study.

• Achievement of an agile product owner certification within 12 months of hire.

• Experience with real-time EDI 27X.

• Intermediate proficiency in PC use.

• Intermediate skills in spreadsheet, database, project management, and word processing software.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with business requirements, user acceptance testing, and supporting toolsets.

• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Applications and Suites, Windows Server, and networking applications.

• Strong grasp of project management, agile best practices, and principles of quality improvement.

• Intermediate knowledge of IT technologies.

• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet time constraints.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

• Proficient in systems research and analysis; ability to write and present business documentation.

• Experience in working with and managing third-party vendors.

• Knowledge of business requirements development and user acceptance testing.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.

• Analytical skills to generate reports and make decisions based on data analysis.
