This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main sales contact and a trusted advisor to executive teams within accounts.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies to optimize revenue generation.
• Establish a strategic vision for accounts and ensure services are delivered as per contractual agreements.
• Collaborate with Professional Services to assess and deploy resources that enhance Pearson’s market presence and drive account expansion.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients.
• Conduct research to engage with institutional stakeholders in enterprise-level accounts.
• Propel revenue growth across existing and emerging business models.
• Develop and execute sales plans that provide customer value, facilitate learner progression, and promote business growth.
• Create relationship maps and comprehend critical success factors for customers.
• Assess enterprise opportunities using both qualitative and quantitative metrics, and collaboratively decide which opportunities to pursue.
• Represent Pearson’s enterprise-level offerings and co-develop business solutions with customers.
• Keep abreast of higher education sector trends and state legislative matters pertinent to partnered institutions.
• Provide executive sales leadership for both existing account growth and new business acquisition.
• Design and implement district sales strategies.
• Attract, engage, develop, and retain talented sales professionals.
• Train teams on planning, territory management, and effective selling skills.
• Offer developmental coaching to direct reports.
• Cultivate program-level relationships to enhance account growth through programmatic solutions.
• Advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
• Must reside in the Midwest or East Coast regions of the US.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Proven experience in managing and executing P&L activities.
• Deep understanding of the higher education and career school markets, gained through experience selling complex solutions.
• Proficient in utilizing sales reporting and project management tools.
• Comfortable with data analytics, financial reporting, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities along with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners and internal teams.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with the Professional Services Team on C-suite and D-Suite customer engagements.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience required.
• At least five years should be in a service-oriented consulting or strategic/selling account management role focused on Higher Education.
• Minimum five years of progressively successful sales performance.
• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• An MBA is preferred.
• Must have the necessary means to work remotely and comply with work-at-home policies.
