Advanced Field Service Engineer – Turbo Machinery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical assistance, maintenance, and repair services for Sundyne rotating equipment and control systems at customer locations.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate issues pertaining to rotating machinery, which includes pumps, compressors, and their respective control hardware and software.

• Work in conjunction with engineering and product teams to deploy solutions that fulfill customer needs and adhere to industry standards.

• Facilitate comprehensive training sessions for customers and internal personnel regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements during field service operations.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in field service engineering.

• At least 4 years specifically focused on rotating equipment and control systems, including pumps, compressors, and turbines.

• Practical experience supporting over 100 field service interventions involving troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning activities.

• Expertise in rotating-equipment control systems hardware and software, diagnostics, calibration tools, PLC/HMI troubleshooting, and VFD systems, with a minimum of 3 years of practical application.

• Understanding of API, OSHA, and ISO industry standards and safety regulations, with a track record of 100% compliance in field service operations and safety-critical environments.

• An advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, chemical processing, or power generation is preferred.

• Involvement in 10 or more root cause failure analyses or structured troubleshooting initiatives is preferred.

• Capability to manage 3 to 5 simultaneous field assignments or projects is preferred.

• Familiarity with digital diagnostic tools and predictive maintenance or condition monitoring software, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience, is preferred.
