This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Assist both prospective and current applicants in UMPI’s YourPace competency-based education programs.
• Guide applicants through the admission process and requirements.
• Evaluate application materials and academic credentials.
• Provide support for foreign credential evaluations and English proficiency standards.
• Handle the processing of application documentation.
• Collaborate with university departments to ensure a smooth transition from application to enrollment.
• Work remotely during adverse weather conditions and/or campus emergencies as a key position.
• Modify work schedule during peak admissions cycles as approved by the Vice President of Enrollment Services.
• An associate degree along with a minimum of two years of experience in higher education admissions, student advising, enrollment services, or a related field.
• Familiarity with adult learners, competency-based education, or international student dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to deliver effective and culturally sensitive service to a diverse student body.
• Knowledge of international admissions procedures, foreign educational credentials, and English language proficiency criteria.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
• Experience utilizing various technology platforms concurrently.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, Zoom, and related communication technologies.
• A stable and reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps; mobile hotspots are not acceptable.
• A dedicated, distraction-free workspace that complies with privacy and confidentiality as outlined by University policy and FERPA regulations, including necessary workstation equipment.
• Willingness to complete an annual Remote Work Agreement Form.
• Applicants must provide a cover letter and resume.
• Finalist candidates are required to submit professional references.
• The selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
