This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Assist prospective students by guiding them through consultative discussions and the admissions decision-making journey.
• Articulate UMGC’s value proposition while aiming to meet or surpass enrollment growth objectives.
• Record, manage, and monitor student interactions and progress within the CRM system.
• Promote new student recruitment and ensure first-term success through proactive problem-solving and advocacy.
• Achieve speed-to-response targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Adhere to departmental Service Level Agreements.
• Support prospective students from initial inquiry to first-term enrollment by leveraging knowledge of UMGC's offerings, policies, and procedures.
• Engage with prospective students through various channels such as phone, video conferencing, text, and email.
• Provide precise information regarding admissions, program prerequisites, student success initiatives, policies, procedures, and deadlines.
• Contribute towards individual, team, and unit enrollment objectives.
• Generate referral leads from prospective students, alumni, and personal networks.
• Assist prospective students in overcoming enrollment challenges.
• Help with registration, degree planning, transfer credits, transcripts, document tracking, and record management.
• Serve as a liaison between students and university departments.
• Engage in recruitment activities, virtual open houses, information sessions, webinars, classroom presentations, and new student success initiatives.
• Provide information on payment options and educational benefits for active-duty personnel and veterans.
• Represent UMGC in virtual settings and at recruitment events, transfer fairs, webinars, and community college campuses statewide.
• Conduct both virtual and in-person classroom presentations about scholarships, online courses, program articulations, and transfer processes.
• Be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel within the state as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Employees residing within 50 miles of UMGC are required to work at university commencement events.
• An earned Associate's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Admissions, Advising, Coaching, or Consultative Sales role.
• Proven experience in a goal-oriented, performance-measured team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and time management abilities.
• High adaptability for learning and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for both one-on-one interactions and group presentations with diverse student populations.
• A positive and outgoing personality with a commitment to encouraging student success.
• Capability to address and resolve student concerns effectively.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Required home office furniture and equipment to be supplied by the candidate.
• Must have broadband internet with upload and download speeds of at least 25MBPS.
• A hardwired Ethernet connection is necessary for computing equipment.
• Use of UMGC VPN for accessing non-public systems and data.
• For Admission Advisor-Partnership responsibilities: a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance are required.
• Evening, weekend, holiday hours, and extensive in-state travel may be necessary based on operational needs.
• 22 days of paid vacation.
