This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in the design, methodologies, and scholarly framework for STEM education or engineering/CS education research associated with university-sponsored projects.
• Work collaboratively with institutional principal investigators, school district or community college partners, and WIL research leaders on formulating research inquiries, adapting curricula, and developing broader impact narratives.
• Assist in creating K-14 educator research experience models, classroom and curriculum follow-ups, as well as workforce pathway documentation when required by project design.
• Generate high-quality written materials, including literature reviews, methodology sections, evaluation plans, progress reports, and performance narratives that align with NSF-style and similar educational proposals.
• Provide specialized qualifications and reference past projects for WIL grant and sponsored research submissions when authorized.
• A doctorate or comparable scholarly qualifications in engineering education, STEM education, computer science education, learning sciences, or a closely related discipline — or significant faculty-equivalent research experience in these areas.
• A proven track record in STEM education, teacher professional development, technician education, or engineering/CS education research, evidenced by publications, funded projects, or recognized institutional roles.
• Capability to work collaboratively with university or community college sponsored research teams and K-14 or industry education stakeholders.
• Willingness to consider full-time employment or project-based contract work; primarily remote, with travel as needed for partnerships and field activities.
• Previous experience with NSF STEM education, RET Site, ATE, RIEF/RFE, IUSE, or related educational research as a principal investigator, co-principal investigator, senior personnel, or key collaborator.
• Experience in mentoring engineering faculty new to education research or in translating authentic research into K-14 classroom applications.
