Adjunct Faculty – Doctoral Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Maintain a robust academic presence while striving for growth in teaching, scholarly or creative endeavors, professional service, and contributions to the college.

• Report to and collaborate with the department chair.

• Engage with students in a professional manner.

• Create a safe and constructive online learning atmosphere.

• Address student inquiries and reach out to inactive students as necessary.

• Evaluate course functionality and content to guarantee high-quality delivery.

• Enrich course materials with personal experiences, insights, and professional expertise.

• Monitor assignments and provide feedback to students in accordance with college policies.

• Analyze and report on student performance data.

• Uphold program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Advocate for ethical practices, including compliance with plagiarism and copyright regulations.

• Guide students to additional resources.

• Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership, including attending mandatory meetings.

• Champion the college's vision, mission, and cultural values.

• Offer leadership within your area of influence.

• Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge through workshops, seminars, publications, networks, and professional organizations.

• Keep abreast of emerging departmental issues and trends.

• Support and promote research to maintain program and course quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a terminal degree.

• Experience in leadership roles, higher education, research, or community college settings.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching and leadership within a formal educational context.

• Experience with both traditional and non-traditional teaching methods.

• Preference for candidates with higher education teaching experience.

• Proven ability to develop online/virtual professional relationships.

• Demonstrated record of professional research and/or creative work, along with expertise in the relevant field.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with departmental staff.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Must support and align with the College's Impact mission.

• Minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.

• Applicants must not reside in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama.
