This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Facilitate online courses for pre-licensure Workforce Development Programs and/or BSN and MSN programs in CA, ID, UT, NM, AZ, NV, and MI.
• Deliver instruction to students using the established curriculum for assigned courses.
• Enhance the quality of teaching through diverse and innovative methodologies and instructional techniques.
• Assist in the review and revision of syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Assess students' progress in relation to curriculum and course objectives, providing timely communication on their advancement.
• Contribute to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
• Maintain records of student attendance and grades, and support program data collection efforts.
• Utilize the Learning Management System for delivering relevant and up-to-date course content.
• Ensure ongoing communication with students through office hours, electronic correspondence, and other suitable methods.
• Engage in professional development, maintain continuing education hours for license renewal, and stay updated with college developments.
• Work with a diverse and multigenerational student population.
• Act as a subject matter expert for university and accreditation requirements and reporting.
• Participate in the curriculum and evaluation committee.
• Conduct weekly recorded synchronous sessions via Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, or similar platforms for courses with unit/final examinations.
• Hold at least four office hours each week.
• Perform exam analysis and reviews for all assessments within the assigned course.
• Execute other assigned duties.
• Must reside OUTSIDE of the state of CA.
• A California RN License is preferred or the ability to obtain a current California RN License is necessary.
• Registered Nurse with active and unencumbered licensing or eligibility in all states where Workforce Development programs are available.
• Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensure in California.
• Eligible for approval by CA BRN as an Instructor for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• A Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• A Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, EdD, PhD) is preferred.
• Must meet the faculty requirements established by California's Board of Registered Nursing.
• Current knowledge of nursing practice is essential.
• Ability to mentor students effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Previous experience in online teaching for pre-licensure nursing using a Learning Management System (LMS) is necessary.
• Documented experience in educational methodology aligned with teaching assignments, including education theory, current concepts relevant to subjects taught, recent clinical practice experience, and distance education techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications as needed.
