This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a mentor, role model, and facilitator by providing guidance and academic support to students.
• Exhibit passion for teaching, the teaching/learning process, and for individual students.
• Utilize skills and experience in accordance with the designated teaching schedule.
• Engage in and contribute to assessment activities for courses, curricula, and programs as part of the University’s continuous improvement plan.
• Enhance class materials and syllabi within a culture of shared governance.
• Employ diverse teaching methodologies to demonstrate measurable evidence of student learning outcomes.
• Maintain scholarly activities.
• Participate in professional development and service in accordance with university policies.
• Promote the University’s commitment to student success and its focus on healthcare professionals.
• Utilize innovative technologies and resources, including Simulation and Innovation Labs.
• When supervising students in a clinical environment, take responsibility for their actions in clinical facilities.
• Clarify clinical expectations with both students and staff at clinical facilities.
• Guide students towards resources for clinical preparation.
• Evaluate student knowledge and skills to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Use pre- and post-conferences to link theoretical content with clinical objectives and experiences.
• Provide timely feedback on clinical performance at immediate and midterm/end-of-semester intervals.
• A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• At least three years of experience in the relevant teaching field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with online learning management systems.
• Adherence to state, federal, and local laws/regulations as well as state Board of Nursing standards.
• MSN degree is required.
• DNP or PhD is required.
• Professional nurse licensure is mandatory.
• Education and experience must comply with state regulations and the rules of state authorization agencies.
