Acute Claim Biller – UB04, CMS-1500

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive business office operations on a daily basis.

• Deliver claims processing services for Critical Access Hospitals (UB-04) and Rural Health Clinics (CMS-1500).

• Oversee business office activities for hospitals or clinics, including patient billing, collections, third-party payer interactions, and insurance claim preparation.

• Coordinate business office functions and staff, covering patient billing, credit and collections, and data entry.

• Propose and execute process enhancements and controls.

• Follow up on third-party approvals, billing matters, and overdue account collections.

• Ensure accurate and punctual billing in compliance with established procedures and payer requirements.

• Achieve production and quality assurance benchmarks.

• Uphold quality customer service and maintain confidentiality of customer information.

• Engage in company educational initiatives to enhance job knowledge.

• Handle miscellaneous paperwork and administrative responsibilities.

• Support managers in coaching, training, disciplinary actions, and follow-up on action plans.

• Ensure staff adherence to dress code, attendance, and company policies.

• Contribute to team projects as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of full-cycle billing experience, encompassing both Acute Hospital and Physician (Profee) claims.

• Proficient in managing Claims and Denial work queues.

• Experience with eClinicalWorks E.M.R. is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Commercial, Workers Comp, and VA claims is essential.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.

• Detail-oriented, with the capability to resolve issues effectively.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and time-management capabilities.

• Strong focus on detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
