Acute Care Psychiatrist – Overnight

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide services across multiple emergency rooms, hospital medical floors, and psychiatric crisis programs simultaneously.

• Assess and treat patients experiencing crises.

• Identify the most suitable and least restrictive care level and ensure timely patient disposition.

• Benefit from shift support provided by the 24/7 access center, which triages cases and offers necessary resources.

• Oversee and/or implement psychotherapeutic interventions.

• Prescribe medications for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.

• Collaborate with partner healthcare treatment teams using a cooperative care model.

• Work overnight shifts from 12:00am to 6:00am EST any day of the week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist.

• Hold unrestricted, independent licensure.

• Maintain established and updated CAQH and FCVS profiles.

• Possess experience in delivering psychiatric care across all age groups.

• Demonstrate experience in treating patients in acute crises and providing stabilizing care in 24/7 environments.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds and deliver culturally competent care.

• Experienced in utilizing multiple EMRs concurrently.

• Advanced technical skills with laptops, cameras, monitors, Windows systems, Microsoft software, and EMR software.

• Several years of telehealth experience is required.

• Access to private office space at home or elsewhere to ensure confidentiality.

• Likely need to obtain additional state licensure and DEA licenses.

• Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States.
