Acute Care Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver measurement-focused, culturally sensitive episodic care to patients experiencing acute crises across diverse environments and states.

• Concurrently support various emergency departments, hospital medical units, and psychiatric crisis programs.

• Assess and provide treatment for patients in crisis situations.

• Identify the most suitable and least restrictive level of care for timely patient disposition.

• Benefit from the 24/7 access center which triages cases and assists in treatment delivery.

• Direct and/or execute psychotherapeutic interventions.

• Prescribe medications for mental, emotional, or behavioral issues.

• Employ a collaborative care model within partner healthcare treatment teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist.

• Possess unrestricted, independent licensure.

• Have established and current CAQH and FCVS profiles.

• Experience in delivering psychiatric care across all age demographics.

• Proven experience in treating patients in acute crises and providing stabilizing care in 24/7 environments.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds and deliver culturally competent care.

• Proficient in utilizing multiple EMRs simultaneously.

• Advanced technical skills with laptops, cameras, monitors, Windows systems, Microsoft software, and EMR software.

• Several years of experience in telehealth.

• A designated private office space at home or elsewhere to ensure confidentiality.

• Willingness to pursue additional state licensure and DEA licenses.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Must not require sponsorship for employment.
