Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address incoming patient inquiries concerning billing within a multichannel Contact Center environment.

• Conduct prompt and precise follow-up on insurance claims and resolve accounts receivable for designated clinics.

• Handle complex payers, aged claims, and specialized accounts receivable initiatives.

• Adhere to government regulations, payer agreements, and insurance protocols.

• Recognize and report inefficiencies while identifying opportunities to improve revenue flow, reduce denials, and decrease write-offs.

• Uphold the confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA standards.

• Adjust to changes in workflows, workload, and schedules.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare setting is required, ideally in billing, front office administration, or a call center.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

• Excellent conflict resolution abilities.

• Skilled in multitasking while ensuring the highest quality in every patient interaction.

• High School diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Capability to sit for 3-4 hours consecutively.

• Fine motor coordination necessary for typing tasks.

• Clear communication skills to convey information effectively to team members.

• Ability to listen and comprehend others during conversations.

• Competence in viewing computer screens and small objects at close range.
