This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather outstanding accounts receivable from governmental and commercial third-party payers.
• Communicate with insurance companies concerning the status of pending claims.
• Manage and pursue appeals as necessary.
• Resubmit claims when required.
• Handle daily correspondence.
• Review and finalize adjustment requests as appropriate.
• Address manual AR follow-up tasks.
• Manage designated outstanding accounts receivable queues.
• Achieve departmental productivity benchmarks.
• Maintain a minimum accuracy rating of 97% on audited accounts.
• Uphold strict confidentiality standards.
• Become a subject matter expert across various workflows and payers.
• Recognize and report trends to leadership.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of professional or healthcare experience is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills for calculating anesthesia units, reimbursements, and percentages.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, regulations, laws, and explanation of benefits (EOBs).
• Familiarity with managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines.
• Proficient data entry skills.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams.
• Must reside in the United States, excluding California, Hawaii, and Alaska.
• Ability to fulfill the stated physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
