Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accept, review, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices by cross-referencing them with purchase orders and receiving reports.

• Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable Inbox.

• Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

• Establish new vendors for ACH transactions.

• Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable records and address any discrepancies.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to unpaid or misapplied invoices.

• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and invoice discrepancies.

• Maintain precise and organized records of transactions, invoices, and payments.

• Aid in generating monthly Accounts Payable aging reports and payment forecasts.

• Ensure that Accounts Payable activities adhere to relevant laws, company policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures and accurately record payables in the accounting system.

• Help in the preparation of 1099 forms for vendors.

• Propose and implement process enhancements for improved efficiency and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• At least three years of relevant experience.

• Experience in General Ledger and Accounts Payable.

• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with Microsoft Business Central is preferred.

• Preferred experience in Accounts Payable within the commercial products industry.
