This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support to the PO Follow Up team for General Motors
• Evaluate open purchase orders and pinpoint outstanding items needing resolution
• Collaborate with plants, suppliers, requestors, and buyers to address and finalize open POs
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and payments
• Follow up on unresolved purchase orders to ensure timely resolution of open items
• Review accounts payable transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Communicate with internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders regarding invoice and PO concerns
• Maintain precise records and documentation for purchase orders and accounts payable activities
• Assist with reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
• Generate reports and conduct audits to guarantee data accuracy and prompt resolution
• Monitor workload and follow up on aging or unresolved items
• Uphold confidentiality of company, supplier, and financial information
• Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and customer service
• Review and audit supplier obsolescence and cancellation claims, validate costs, ensure contract compliance, and prepare audit reports
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in auditing, finance, purchasing, tax, or cost analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and Conditional Formatting
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple claim reviews and meet deadlines independently
• Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and cost factors such as labor, materials, and profit
• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Successful completion of a background check
• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting, purchasing, procurement, or related fields is preferred
• Strong organizational skills are essential
• Exceptional time management skills are required
• Must pass an internet speed test: download ≥25 Mbps, upload ≥5 Mbps, ping ≤175 ms
• Must be able to connect via an ethernet cable to a modem/router
• Must reside in a qualifying US state or municipality where compensation aligns with applicable wage regulations
