This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Process, code, input, and manage vendor invoices along with accounts payable transactions.
• Examine invoices for completeness, necessary approvals, supporting documentation, and any discrepancies.
• Align invoices with purchase orders, receipts, contracts, or other relevant records when necessary.
• Keep organized electronic files and documentation for accounts payable.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies or outstanding balances.
• Liaise with vendors regarding invoices, payment status, account inquiries, and documentation requirements.
• Prepare payment information and assist with scheduled payment processing.
• Monitor accounts payable aging to identify overdue invoices, duplicate charges, credits, and unresolved items.
• Enter and maintain precise financial data while adhering to accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting tasks, including reporting, reconciliations, and recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather missing information, approvals, receipts, or documentation.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding financial, employee, vendor, and company information.
• Provide support for additional accounting and administrative tasks as delegated.
• Prior experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related administrative role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of invoice processing, vendor accounts, payment procedures, and fundamental accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data and financial records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, email, and document management tools.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time-management capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Capability to work independently in a remote setting while remaining responsive and collaborative.
• Professional judgment, reliability, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An educational background in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
