This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entry, approval, and payment processes for a designated group of vendors/suppliers.

• Ensure that payments are made promptly, focusing on maximizing discounts.

• Act as the main point of contact for both internal and external inquiries regarding the assigned vendor group.

• Foster effective communication and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

• Process invoices utilizing a 3-way match and/or appropriate approval and coding procedures.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, statements, and payments.

• Investigate and resolve aged accounts payable, unbilled inventory, and other variances.

• Communicate professionally through email and phone with both external and internal business partners.

• Engage in month-end closing activities.

• Carry out ad hoc responsibilities and provide team coverage as necessary.

• Comply with internal controls, procedures, laws, and confidentiality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or accounting department using an automated accounting or payables system.

• Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Interest in pursuing a career in Accounting.

• Familiarity with Epicor Eclipse.
