This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Investigate, audit, and address customer inquiries related to policy status, payment remittances, return premiums/disbursements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Conduct research, review, and process unidentified, suspense, and exception premium receipts.
• Review, audit, and approve premium disbursements.
• Accurately and promptly sort, prioritize, process, and record premium receipts received in-house.
• Prepare correction entries for payment misapplications and banking errors.
• Execute moderately complex billing account audits and analyses, including calculations.
• Assist with audit requests from both internal and external sources.
• Create and monitor pending items.
• Maintain documentation and supporting files.
• Conduct OFAC clearance and follow up on Premium Collections for resolution.
• Ensure billing documents accurately reflect agreed terms and comply with the Department of Insurance rules and regulations.
• Oversee billing processes to ensure timely and accurate execution.
• Perform premium billing audits to validate accuracy, identify discrepancies, and support system stability and financial integrity.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience is required.
• Proficient typing and 10-key skills by touch are essential.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Intermediate skills in Excel and Word are required.
• Completion of accounting courses is preferred.
