Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and support the preparation of financial data and analytics for the Annual Report and SEC 10Q and 10K filings.

• Consolidate quarterly and annual schedules while preparing analyses for financial statement disclosures, including those related to revenue.

• Examine financial statement accounts by analyzing balances, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate reporting.

• Deliver value-added reporting, insights, and ad hoc analysis to management.

• Collaborate with Data Analytics teams to optimize resources, align initiatives, and avoid duplication of efforts.

• Generate ad hoc reports and assist with special projects, including the implementation of digital technologies such as analytics process automation, data visualization, and statistical analyses.

• Utilize industry and functional expertise to identify business drivers and challenges.

• Create dashboard solutions to aid in strategic and tactical business decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of related experience in place of a degree.

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.

• Ability to assess financial reports for accuracy and reasonableness.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Previous public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.

• Familiarity with percentage of completion accounting.

• Prior experience and understanding of revenue recognition accounting methods.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to engage cross-functionally and at all levels within the organization.

• Proficient in financial models, data analytics, and presentation skills.

• Experience with Digital Finance tools (Alteryx, Python, PowerPlatform).
