This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Execute payment runs including accounts payable, payroll, and travel expense reimbursements through bank portals and ERP systems.
• Approve and review payment orders in compliance with the internal four-eyes principle.
• Process monthly payroll runs in close collaboration with HR and the external payroll provider.
• Post payroll journal entries in NetSuite.
• Oversee and monitor corporate credit cards and travel expense reports using Navan.
• Reconcile bank accounts with the ERP (NetSuite) on a daily basis.
• Process and address outstanding items from bank reconciliations.
• Record and allocate bank transactions, including foreign exchange transactions.
• Maintain master data for bank accounts and payees.
• Assist in designing and establishing new banking processes.
• Support system changes and implementations in the banking domain.
• Document processes and work instructions effectively.
• Serve as the point of contact for banking inquiries and account documentation.
• Communicate with banks regarding inquiries, clarifications, or technical challenges.
• Aid in monthly cash reporting and liquidity assessments.
• Completed vocational training as a bank clerk, tax clerk, accountant, or a similar commercial qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting, particularly focused on payment processing, bank accounting, or financial accounting.
• Proficient in using bank portals (such as EBICS and online banking platforms) and ERP systems.
• Experience in payroll processing or payroll postings is advantageous.
• Familiarity with posting foreign currency transactions is desirable.
• Proven experience in assisting with the design or establishment of financial processes.
• Highly reliable and detail-oriented.
• Possess a process-oriented mindset.
• Display initiative and a strong desire to shape and enhance processes.
• Maintain discretion when handling confidential information.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with HR, accounts payable, and external banks.
• Excellent German language skills are essential.
• English language proficiency (minimum B1 level) for working in an international environment.
