This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define Eko’s costing methodology and advocate for it during audits
• Manage inventory valuation and reserves
• Oversee the entire landed cost process, encompassing duties, tariffs, freight, brokerage, invoice reconciliations, and allocation between inventory and cost of sales
• Ensure inventory integrity across contract manufacturers, third-party logistics (3PL), and marketplace locations
• Set up reconciliation schedules, cycle count procedures, cutoff protocols, and audit confirmation or observation methods
• Manage the procure-to-pay process from purchase order through to payment
• Oversee the purchase order policy, vendor master governance, three-way match, received-not-invoiced processes, payment runs, disbursement controls, and accounts payable close
• Finalize Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) each month
• Generate gross margin analytics for hardware and subscription revenue in collaboration with FP&A
• Develop audits and controls for inventory, cost, and procure-to-pay cycles to endure SOX and external audit examination
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales Operations, and FP&A teams
• Provide oversight for the offshore transactional team
• Report directly to the Corporate Controller
• Deliver margin analysis presentations to the executive team
• Over 7 years of experience in cost, inventory, or manufacturing accounting, particularly in hardware, medical devices, electronics, or other inventory-heavy product environments
• Direct involvement in managing landed cost, inventory valuation, and inventory closing processes
• Direct involvement in accounts payable operations, including vendor master controls, three-way match, payment runs, and accounts payable closing
• Experience in supporting external audit testing of inventory valuation and reserves in accordance with US GAAP
• Capability to articulate and defend accounting positions during audits
• Experience with complex, cross-system reconciliations
• Proficient in advanced Excel
• Ability to communicate findings to Finance leadership and withstand scrutiny
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience with NetSuite, customs and import operations, 3PL or e-commerce operations, accounts payable automation platforms, SOX compliance, and building processes from a low baseline is advantageous
• Ability to work remotely in the US on Pacific hours
