This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee daily accounting functions, encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Generate precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain financial documentation in accordance with U.S. accounting standards and Mexican tax laws.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of data.
• Process journal entries and accruals efficiently.
• Manage activities for month-end and year-end closings.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Facilitate financial audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax consultants.
• Prepare and evaluate financial statements and management reports.
• Discover opportunities to enhance accounting processes through automation and technology.
• Support cross-border financial operations between the United States and Mexico.
• Contribute to financial precision, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in support of U.S. and/or Mexican operations.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (mandatory).
• Extensive knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, including SAT, CFDI, IVA, ISR, and payroll tax compliance.
• Experience with General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month-End/Year-End closing processes.
• Practical experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience conducting Bank Reconciliations and preparing Financial Statements.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles (preferred).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and various formulas.
• Experience assisting with audits, internal controls, and financial compliance.
• Strong analytical abilities with a background in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in professional English (B2+ preferred).
• Capability to work autonomously in a remote, multicultural setting.
• Familiarity with one or more systems: QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify.
• CPA, IFRS, or other accounting certifications (considered an advantage).
• Experience using Power BI or similar financial reporting tools (preferred/advantageous).
• Background working for U.S.-based companies or international finance teams (advantageous).
• Knowledge of cross-border accounting practices between the U.S. and Mexico (advantageous).
• Experience in sectors such as Insurance, Finance, Real Estate, Healthcare, Professional Services, or Technology (valued/advantageous).
• Proven track record of measurable successes in process improvement, financial accuracy, or cost optimization (advantageous).
